Chatham Village combines the charm of an English country village with the convenience of modern urban living in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Built in 1932, Chatham Village was designated a National Historic Landmark by the United States Secretary of the Interior in 2005. This quiet retreat from the bustle of city life boasts nearly 26 acres of natural woodland.

A NEW CHATHAM VILLAGE TIMES FEATURE: RULES REMINDERS!
A new feature for the Chatham Village Times will be a monthly article reviewing one or more of the Chatham Village Rules. The Rules have evolved over the years to help give Chatham Village its social order and identity. All members are expected to understand and comply with the Rules.

Applicants accepted for membership in Chatham Village are required to read the Rules before their house closing, stating, before the Membership Committee, that they have read the Rules and agree to abide by
them. However, while living here and going about our daily lives, the Rules are not always uppermost in our minds.

It is the responsibility of the Chatham Village Manager to assure that the Rules are being adhered to; address evidence of non compliance; and issue sanctions when necessary. The Chatham Village Communications Committee would like to promote better compliance with the Rules and reinforce the concept of cooperative living in Chatham Village by providing Rules Reminders each month in the Chatham Village Times that are topics of interest or seasonally appropriate. Hopefully this will reduce the number of Rules violations and ease the enforcement responsibility of the Manager.
- Joyce Dodge, Communications Committee Chair
